September 28, 2010: We have been invited to meet on September 28th, 11:45 am to 1:30 pm, at Temple Emanu-El. The planning team intends to present a specific proposal for the mission, objectives, membership, and governance of the Council, and we hope to have Santa Clara County Supervisor Dave Cortese with us, and perhaps some other local leaders in Silicon Valley.
We will be meeting in the Sukkah (or "booth"), a temporary structure that is used during the celebration of the season of Sukkoth (September 23-29), a time for remembering the wanderings in the wilderness after the people of Israel left slavery in Egypt and before they entered the land of Canaan. Watch for more details about lunch arrangements.
